or even just want a lesson to brush up on the basics, join us for a Mahjong 101 class.

This beginner-friendly class is designed for first-time players and those looking to understand

the tiles, rules, and flow of the game in a relaxed, social setting.

Our instructors will walk you through the fundamentals step by step,

using live demonstrations and supported play so you can learn with confidence.

What you’ll learn:

Tile categories and basic terminology

How to set up the table

The flow of play (draw, discard, call)

How to read the NMJL card

The mahjong craze has officially landed in Jacksonville! If you’ve attended a Mahjong 101 class or already have some experience playing, join us for Mahjong 102.

This next‑step class is designed for players who want to build confidence, improve strategy, and get more comfortable with real gameplay.

Our instructors will briefly review the fundamentals, then guide you through strategy tips and supervised play so you can strengthen your skills in a supportive, social environment.

What you’ll learn and practice:

  • Reviewing the flow of play and common game situations

  • How to read the NMJL card more strategically

  • Recognizing potential hands faster

  • Defensive play and when to pass on tiles

  • Guided gameplay with instructor support

Your little is always welcome to come if you need to bring them — this community is built for real motherhood so please always know your baby is welcome & they will be an area for play.

Italian Cooking Lessons

Enjoy an evening learning to create authentic Italian dishes from scratch in this hands‑on cooking class with Chef Diana Testa. You will learn traditional techniques, work with fresh ingredients, and build confidence in the kitchen before sitting down to enjoy the delicious dishes you created together.

Wine, beer, bubbles, and non‑alcoholic beverages including soda and sparkling water will be available for purchase during the class. 🍝🍷

Sip & Script Calligraphy Workshop

Join us at Grazing Parlor for a beginner‑friendly modern calligraphy workshop hosted by Sip & Script. This class introduces the basics of lettering using a pointed dip pen and ink, perfect for anyone interested in learning calligraphy or trying something creative with friends.

Each participant will receive a beginner calligraphy kit to use during class and take home afterward.

We encourage you to come early to purchase charcuterie or beverages to enjoy during class. Doors open at 6 PM.
